Do you charge a call-out fee?
Our emergency call-out rate is £70 per hour, which includes the first hour of diagnosis and labour. If parts are needed, we’ll tell you the cost before fitting them. No work is done without your approval.
Can you fix my boiler on the first visit?
In most cases, yes. We carry common boiler parts on the van including valves, pumps, igniters, pressure sensors and PCBs for popular brands like Vaillant and Worcester Bosch. If a specialist part needs ordering, we’ll make safe and return to fit it as soon as it arrives.
My boiler keeps losing pressure — is that an emergency?
It’s not usually dangerous, but it means there’s a leak somewhere in the system. You can temporarily repressurise via the filling loop, but if it keeps dropping, call us for a proper diagnosis. Ignoring it can lead to bigger problems and damage to your boiler.
Should I repair or replace my boiler?
As a general rule: if your boiler is under 10 years old, repair. Over 15 years, consider replacing. Between 10-15 years, it depends on the repair cost — if it’s more than a third of a new boiler, replacement usually makes more sense. Do I need an emergency plumber or can it wait?

Where is my stopcock?
Your internal stopcock is usually under the kitchen sink, in a utility cupboard, or under the stairs. It’s a brass valve that you turn clockwise to shut off. If you have a water leak, turning this off first will stop further damage while you wait for us to arrive. If you can’t find it, we’ll help you locate it when we get there.
